The Saros 10R is the best-balanced premium choice at about $1,499. Its 7.98cm body, StarSight 2.0 navigation, 3D time-of-flight sensing, RGB recognition and VertiBeam lateral sensing target low furniture and clutter without a raised LiDAR turret.
DuoDivide and anti-tangle side brushes, FlexiArm edge cleaning and dual spinning mops cover mixed floors. The dock empties dust, washes mops with hot water, dries them with warm air, refills water, dispenses detergent and can remove mop modules. These are manufacturer specifications, not Worth Buying test results.

At around $999 before temporary promotions, the D20 Pro Plus offers strong everyday vacuuming, useful mapping, anti-tangle hardware and a dry auto-empty dock. It does not pretend to be a $2,000 flagship.
Its 4.6/5 exact-model ProductReview score is unusually strong. Owners commonly praise value, setup, mapping, quiet operation, pet-hair pickup and auto-empty convenience. But its mop is a basic maintenance wipe and its avoidance is less capable around cables, toys and clutter. Wi-Fi, remapping and support complaints also appear.

The X60 Ultra is among the most advanced mainstream robots sold in Australia. Its navigation hardware retracts for a 7.95cm body. Dual AI cameras, lateral structured-light sensing and illumination target low-clearance and cluttered rooms. Recognition of 280+ object categories is a manufacturer claim, not an avoidance guarantee.
Dreame's 8.8cm threshold claim applies to a double-layer obstacle arrangement. The separate single vertical-step claim is 4.5cm. Shape, grip and approach angle still matter.

Vacuuming, mopping and suction claims
Pickup depends on airflow, brush design, floor contact, route quality and debris—not Pa alone—so cross-brand suction claims are not universal cleaning scores. The D20 Pro Plus is primarily a strong vacuuming and dry self-emptying package; its pad provides a basic maintenance wipe. Saros 10R and X60 Ultra add active spinning mops, carpet management and dock washing for more capable hard-floor care.
Hard floors benefit from mop pressure, edge reach and pad washing. Carpet and pet homes need brush agitation, floor contact, reliable mop lifting or removal and regular checks for hair around brushes, axles and dock air paths.
Navigation, obstacles, thresholds and low furniture
LiDAR maps room geometry, while structured light, cameras and time-of-flight sensing add nearby-object and depth data. Even premium systems can ingest cables, shoelaces or toys and cannot guarantee pet-waste avoidance, so clear high-risk clutter before running.
Low-profile bodies reach beneath furniture that blocks raised turrets. Threshold results depend on shape, grip and approach: X60 Ultra's 8.8cm claim applies to a double-layer obstacle arrangement, while its single vertical-step claim is 4.5cm. Measure both furniture clearance and doorway geometry.
Docks, maintenance, consumables and privacy
D20 Pro Plus transfers dry debris into a bag. Saros 10R and X60 Ultra also wash and dry mops, refill water and dispense solution, reducing daily handling but adding footprint, tanks, pumps and consumables. Budget for bags, filters, brushes, mop parts and approved solution; clean sensors and remove wrapped hair regularly.
Maps, room controls, schedules and firmware commonly depend on Wi-Fi, vendor apps and cloud services. Some premium robots use indoor cameras, so check current privacy controls and long-term software support before buying.
Which one should you buy?
Choose Roborock Saros 10R for the strongest balance of automation, mature features, price and local evidence — accepting its material fault/support complaints.
